STELLA
UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
Stella is a student at the University of Pennsylvania studying Cognitive Science with a minor in Consumer Psychology. She is bilingual in Japanese and English and grew up in Osaka and Hawaii. Stella loves meeting new people from various backgrounds and is always looking for a new adventure. During her free time she enjoys dancing, listening to music, being in nature, and spending time with her friends!
JUSTIN
COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
Justin is a student at Columbia University, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science studying mechanical engineering, after receiving BS degree in Mathematics from Holly Cross College. He has a particular passion for robotics, and hopes to work in that field after school. He loves sailing and golfing in his free time.
DEREK
COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
Derek is attending Columbia University, The Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science measuring Mechanical Engineering and also has a math degree at Oberlin College. He plays piano and is interested in Japanese language and culture. His favorite things include playing soccer and hugging his dog Milkshake.
LUNA
UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA
Luna is a Psychology major at the University of Pennsylvania with minors in French and Francophone Studies, Cognitive Science, and Neuroscience. She is a leader in the orchestra and various international organizations while assisting in academic research projects. Luna prioritizes clear explanations and deep understanding over short-term goals, believing this approach fosters practical skills.
NATHAN
OBERLIN COLLEGE
Nathan is a dedicated tutor holding a double major in Mathematics and Physics, and a minor in Economics from Oberlin College. Currently pursuing a mechanical engineering career at the University of Minnesota, he learns from a professor he deeply respects. With experience as a camp counselor and Boy Scouts pack leader, Nathan excels at working with students of all ages. His patient and supportive teaching style helps students build confidence and find joy in learning. Outside the classroom, he enjoys writing poetry and playing music.
SARAH
MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
Sarah is studying Mechanical Engineering at MIT and has taught students from elementary to university, tailoring her methods to their individual needs. Through MIT's summer programs and community centers, she developed strong leadership skills. Sarah empowers students to engage actively in their learning and has excelled academically, achieving near-perfect SAT scores and completing 12 AP courses, establishing herself as a mentor and teacher in both STEM and humanities.
ADI
COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY
Adi graduated in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University and went on to pursue graduate studies there while working as a research assistant. Now he attends Medical School at Texas A&M. Drawing from his personal experience, he specializes in preparing students for standardized exams like the ACT, SAT, AP, and IB, while also improving grades in subjects such as math and science. With experience as a Chemistry Olympiad coach, he effectively simplifies complex concepts for students of all levels.
TAKUMA
BROWN UNIVERSITY
Takuma, a Brown University graduate with a master's in Cybersecurity Policy, is fluent in Japanese and English and has conversational skills in Korean. He excels in working with bilingual students, strengthening their foundational knowledge and guiding them in STEM subjects, writing, and exam preparation for the SAT and ACT. He has a sharp eye for identifying areas where students can grow and is particularly skilled at strengthening their foundational knowledge. In his free time, he enjoys rock climbing, cooking, and playing the clarinet.
VALERIE
COLBY COLLEGE
Valerie is a graduate of Colby College with a double major in Chemistry and Philosophy, and can effectively teach both STEM and humanities subjects. In her free time, she enjoys reading science fiction and fantasy, writing fiction, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends.
MAHATI
BARNARD COLLEGE
Mahati graduated from Barnard College in New York, majoring in Political Science. Mahati aspires to become a lawyer and will be attending graduate school at Texas A&M next year to study Cybersecurity Law. Mahati excels in teaching English, particularly writing and college essay guidance. Having achieved high scores on both the SAT and ACT, she is especially skilled at helping students excel on the ACT, offering valuable insights from her own experience of self-studying for the exam.
KAI
RENSSELAER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE
Kai is a scholarship recipient at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, a prestigious technical university in the U.S., and majors in Computer Systems Engineering. As a STEM tutor in math, physics, and computer science, he adapts his flexible teaching style to each student's needs, creating a friendly and supportive learning environment. In high school, Kai was a National Honor Society member and president of several clubs, actively supporting his peers.
SABRINA
GEORGETOWN UNIVERSITY
Sabrina is a student at Georgetown University, where she studies International Politics and is an undergraduate research fellow. She is passionate about history, literature, and language learning. Sabrina has lived in six different countries and earned scholarships to study abroad in Eastern Europe. In addition to English, she speaks Spanish and Russian.

Selina is a student at Scripps College, majoring in Politics with focus in Middle East politics. Selina is passionate about connecting with people, building communities, and supporting students in achieving their goals. In her free time she enjoys choreographing, hiking, going to museums and reading.
HARRY
BROWN UNIVERSITY
Harry is a student at Brown University studying biochemical engineering on the premed track. He does leukaemia research with a pharmaceutical company to expand upon his interest in biology. Harry plays the tuba and guitar, and is an amateur Quidditch and chess player. He also speaks Mandarin fluently as well as some Spanish.

Anita is a student of University of Michigan Medical School. She earned a dual- degree also at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor; Bachelors of Music in Music Performance-Clarinet and Bachelors of Science in Neuroscience. She is from the Los Angeles area. She is passionate about helping each student reach their full potential through individualized attention.

Misato is a student at the University of Pennsylvania studying Health and Societies with a possible minor in Healthcare Management. She is also working on her EMT license. She is bilingual and spent her early years in Japan. In her free time, she loves to spend time with her friends, being active, and going on long drives.

Alex is a graduate of Colby College with a Biology major, Education minor, and concentration in Spanish. She is attending William James College to become a mental health counselor. She has worked as both a middle school and high school teacher, teaching Spanish and Science at both levels, as well as AP Biology. She also loves to travel and learn about different languages and cultures.

Cath is a student at Brown University studying public policy and East Asian studies. She is bicultural and bilingual and loves thinking of innovative solutions to existing problems. She spent the first half of her life in China and thoroughly understands the challenges that come with switching languages and educational systems.

Julia is a student at University of Pennsylvania studying International Relations and Consumer Psychology. She is a native speaker of English and Japanese and a conversational speaker of Korean and French. Her favorite place to travel is Osaka, Japan where she visits family and friends every year. She is a big foodie and will make you wait to take a picture before every meal.

Brian is a recent graduate of Oberlin College, where he studied Environmental Studies and Biology. He is preparing to pursue graduate degrees while working for an environmental sustainability advocacy organization. He played for the varsity soccer team, and he continues to enjoy playing soccer.

Mirai is a student at Duke University Medical School after majoring in Psychology and minored in Chemistry and Chinese also at Duke University. She has experience in working as a college adviser for a high school in North Carolina. In her spare time, Mirai enjoys dancing, cooking, and playing with her cats.

Lu graduated last spring as Summa Cum Laude from Scripps College with an honors major in Spanish & Portuguese and a written thesis and documentary on the marketing of açaí and whiteness identity in Brazil. They have a deep passion for language as a cultural connector and teaching with critical pedagogy and look forward to sharing these perspectives with their students. Lu is also a dancer, visual artist and outdoors enthusiast.

Moriah is a recent graduate of Brown University, where she studied Education, Human Development, and Public Policy. She is passionate about increasing college access and currently loving her job as a college advisor in New York City. When she is not working, Moriah enjoys cooking, birdwatching, and cuddling with her chubby senior cat Gnocchi.

VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY
Kara is currently working towards her Masters degree in Elementary Education at Vanderbilt University. She received BA degree in Economics with minor in Entrepreneurial Studies from Hobart and William Smith College. In her free time, she likes to run, play board games, garden/grow plants (sunflower particular), and listen to live music in her neighborhood in Nashville, TN.
TARO
BROWN UNIVERSITY
Taro is a recent graduate of Brown University, where he studied theoretical mathematics. Within mathematics, he is most interested in geometry and topology. Outside of mathematics, he likes visual art, drawing and painting in his free time. He will start this fall as a master's student in mathematics at The College of New York and plans to continue onto a Ph.D. in math.
